Beerakaya pachadi

 

Ingredients:
   

  • 1 large Ridge guard/Beera kaya
  • 2 tbsps Mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsps jeera
  • 2 tbsps Fenu greek seeds/ mentulu
  • 2 tbsps urad dal/minapa pappu
  • 2 tbsps Dhaniyalu
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • Tamarind-1 small lemon ball sized
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Procedure:

  • Take little oil in a pan and add the Ridge guard pieces, green chillies and  let it cook for some time and keep it aside
  • In the same pan add little oil and add mustard seeds, Jeera, Urad dal, dhaniya and methulu
  • once the mustard seeds start to splutter remove from the flame and let it cool down for some time
  • Grind this mixture with the Ridge guard pieces and tamarind add salt according to taste
  • while grinding add some amount of coriander leaves .
  • Beerakaya pickle is ready to eat!!!
