Ingredients:
- 1 large Ridge guard/Beera kaya
- 2 tbsps Mustard seeds
- 2 tbsps jeera
- 2 tbsps Fenu greek seeds/ mentulu
- 2 tbsps urad dal/minapa pappu
- 2 tbsps Dhaniyalu
- 4-5 green chillies
- Tamarind-1 small lemon ball sized
- salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Procedure:
- Take little oil in a pan and add the Ridge guard pieces, green chillies and let it cook for some time and keep it aside
- In the same pan add little oil and add mustard seeds, Jeera, Urad dal, dhaniya and methulu
- once the mustard seeds start to splutter remove from the flame and let it cool down for some time
- Grind this mixture with the Ridge guard pieces and tamarind add salt according to taste
- while grinding add some amount of coriander leaves .
- Beerakaya pickle is ready to eat!!!
